This policy covers the PicklePoint app and app.picklepoint.fun. It describes what the app does today. If that changes, this page changes with it.

What we collect

Your email address, the only thing needed to sign in. We send a six-digit code; there is no password to lose.
Your mobile number, optional, and asked only when you take a spot, so the host can reach you if the court moves. Never used for marketing.
Your name, handle, colour and how you like to play, what other members see next to you in a game.
Sessions and spots, the games you host or join, who else is in them, and the draw and scores from the night.
Friends, groups and invitations, who you have added, the lists you have made, and who you asked to a game along with their answer.

What we do not do

We take no payments. There is no card on file, because nothing in the app costs money.
We do not sell your data, and we never will.
We do not track you across other apps or websites, and there are no advertising networks in the app.
There is no analytics service watching what you tap.

Email we send you

We email you about things you would be annoyed to miss: somebody asking you to a game, a game you are in moving or being called off, a spot coming free that is now yours, your own game filling up, friend requests, and a reminder a couple of hours before you play. Nothing else.

Anything that can wait is gathered up, four people joining your game is one email that says four. Nothing is sent between 10pm and 7am Bahrain time, and never more than six an hour. Every email has a one-tap way to turn that kind off, and they are all switches under You, then Settings. The exceptions are a game you are in being called off, and a waitlist spot becoming yours: those reach you whatever your settings say, because you made a commitment to other people. If you run a club, reports members send us through the app also reach you at any hour, because a problem reported during a game is worth knowing that night.

There are no marketing emails, and no newsletter.

Who can see what

The people in a game can see the names, handles, colours and scores of everybody else in it. That is the point of turning up to play together.

Your email address is never shown to another member. Your mobile number is shared only with the host of a game you have taken a spot in, and only if you gave it.

A game marked open to the club can be seen by any member. A game that is not can be seen only by the host, the people in it, and the people invited to it.

Where it lives

Data is stored with Supabase, on servers in Tokyo (ap-northeast-1). Access is enforced in the database itself by row-level security, not only in the app: a member can read their own record, the games they are part of or were asked to, and the profiles of the people they play with. Sign-in codes and the emails below are delivered by Resend.

Keeping or deleting it

You can ask us to export or delete your account and everything attached to it at any time. Write to founders@picklepoint.fun and we will action it within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your profile, your spots, your friends and your groups. Scores from games you played may remain in the other players' history of that night, with your name removed.

Children

PicklePoint is for players aged 13 and over. If you believe a younger child has an account, write to us and we will remove it.
